Old Kraftsman was the house brand made by Kay for the Spiegel catalog company.  Details on this one suggest it's from around the 1940s, though there is no serial number. Body size is somewhere between a 00 and a 000. This one has a solid spruce top, laminate mahogany sides and back, original rosewood fingerboard and bridge, original nut and Kluson Deluxe tuners and extremely cool checkerboard binding.

Work done: Face cracks repaired and cleated, bridge removed, cleaned and re-glued, neck re-set, frets leveled, crowned and polished, small veneer patch on upper treble bout, finished cleaned and lightly french polished to restore finish.  Fairly thick neck front to back, but narrow width.  Excellent action with a bright punchy tone, this guitar a was a big hit at the Folk Alliance Midwest Conference.  Comes with a beat up cardboard case.
