This is a Gretsch Soprano Ukulele with a natural mahogany finish, solid mahogany body and neck, mahogany fingerboard, original nut, bridge, frets (no wear) and tuners. Gretsch ukuleles are solid instruments and a great value these days. They are well made out of quality woods. Gretsch first made ukes in 1935; judging from the tuners and finish, I expect this one from the 1950s. This uke is very clean and all original showing a just a modest amount of finish wear on the back. See pics for details.
Overall length is 21 in., 6 in. wide at lower bout, and 2 1/4 in. in depth taken at the end block. Scale length is 13 1/2 in. Width of nut is 1 1/2 in.
Work Done:
The bridge had come off this uke and I re-glued it, then glued and cleated a top split. No other work was needed.
Excellent action and tone. It comes with a beat up but functional cardboard case.
This is another Uke from the Dee Kruzan collection. It's a great, vintage, solid mahogany ukulele for a great price. If you've ever wanted to try out a vintage uke, here's your chance!
I'm asking $150.00.
